I hold a Ph.D. in history from the University of Kentucky with an emphasis on foreign relations, gender, and sexuality. I am currently a Digital Teaching Fellow at the University of South Florida where I teach courses in professional and technical communications with an emphasis on innovative digital pedagogy. Prior to coming to USF, I completed a two year Post-Doctoral Fellowship for Diversity in the History Department at the United States Military Academy, West Point. In this position, I was the writer and a digital editor for a series of interactive eReaders on gender and warfare. My first book, on the intersections of foreign relations and sexuality during the Vietnam War, is under contract with Cornell University Press.
